The position of Margrave of Belmarch, or, if the holder is female, Margravine of Belmarch was one of historical significance, but is now dormant. Commonly referenced as Lord Belmarch or Lady Belmarch, the margrave or margravine would ensure that the spirit of an age remained a good one. The margraves were, however, eventually twisted, and began to use their powers to create black eras under their control. For this, the position was dissolved, the house of Beaulieu disgraced, and its members expelled from Irinie.
The City of Belmarch, however, still stands and bears the same name.
